Yellow was happy to be going on this trip from the moment she had heard about it. Through what training she had accomplished with Green, she felt that she needed to improve herself in a lot of ways. Green had explained he simply was going for research, but she had made a plan of her own to take the famous Island Challenge that had been blowing up rather recently, and was introduced as a new official league not long ago.

However whatever excitment Yellow had, was now bottled up as she quietly snoozed in the chair of the plane, ever lightly leaning against Green's shoulder in what cramp seats they were occupying. At some point along the flight, staring out of the window at the clouds and the prior hustle and bustle tuckered her. and anyone who knew her knows how that ends up.

However over the intercom, the flight attendant happily announced that they would soon be landing in Hau'oli City. Yellow's eyes opened at the abnormal intercom voice, and she quickly adjusted her posture for a moment wondering where she was before remembering.

Soon they would be getting off the plane, Yellow happily pulling along her briefcase, a familiar yet different salty air indicating they were definitely on an island and not very far from the ocean.

"We're finally here!" She cheered happily, turning towards Green, and awaiting for his indication of where they were heading. After all it should surprise no-one that he's the one who had made the plans.

Steven, the villa is near Konikoni city on Akala island. Most of what you requested be delivered has already been brought in, but there are a few more things that I'll be bringing with me when I make the trip in a couple weeks. I'm still a little confused as to why you decided to fly in commercially, but I suppose anything that gets you interacting with the public is good for you. Anyways, you'll find the key to the villa with your stuff in the top left compartment of your suitcase. I expect a response from you once you land and make sure all the equipment is accounted for.
Stephanie Stone
PS: Wallace sent an outfit for you to try. You'll know it when you see it.

Steven gave a slight smile as he read the email before turning his attention back to the airplane window. It had already been a bit of a long flight, but the man sat next to him hadn't been problematic in the slightest. Steven was thankful for that, choosing to fly commercial always had its risks, and bad company was always one of the biggest.

He knew there was still quite a bit of the flight left to go, so he decided he'd take a quick rest before they landed. He calmly rested his head back, closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

When he woke the passengers were already beginning to leave the plane. Still a little groggy, he stood up, and grabbed his bag from the overhead compartment and adjusted his shirt before making his way off the plane. There were few passengers left after him.

As he made his way out of the terminal, the salty air filled his lungs, a smile forming on his normally stoic face. It was a lot like home, but here in Alola, the air seemed even fresher. It was wonderful. Alola was truly a region at one with nature.

Steven gave quick looks towards other people he knew had been on the plane as he made his way outside. He wasn't sure where he should head first. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take his stuff to the villa, but that was on a different island for the time being. It'd probably be best to check a local Pokémon center for answers to his questions. Steven was now stood outside checking his PokéNav for directions, his suitcase resting next to his leg.

As the voice from the intercom announced their landing, Noah sighed out in relief. With this being his first time on a plane, he was somewhat nervous that something would go wrong and was unable to get any sleep to calm his nerves. Maybe if he had Squirtle or Poliwrath out, the ride would have been better, but there were rules in place against that. Still, even with nothing terrible happening, with his flight, the young trainer mentally noted that he would sail to wherever he decided to go to next, wherever that may be.

Noah reached up into the overhead compartment and grabbed his backpack. After getting off the plane, he made his way out of the terminal as quickly as he could. Stepping outside, he grinned to himself as he was greeted by the familiar sea breeze. Castelia City was a nice place, but when the opportunity to travel to Alola presented itself, the young trainer quickly took the chance. He decided that this would be his start to become a Water-type master.

Noah reached into his backpack and pulled out two Poké Balls. Clicking on the buttons, he would throw them both in the air, releasing Squirtle and Pikachu. The two Pokémon looked around at their new environment, eagerly. Their trainer told them all about the new region they were traveling to and were very excited for the new challenge that awaited them.

"Alright team! Noah started, looking down at his Pokémon. "Welcome to Alola! Now, let's work together and try not to get too lost like we did back in Unova."

Lucas woke up at the sound of the intercom, although he was still a bit drowsy and only heard the last part of the announcement. After such a long flight, he was glad for a chance to stretch his legs and see Alola for himself. After years of training, he decided it was time for a little vacation. Of course, he was not sure what he was going to do in this new region, but given that it was a set of tropical islands, it should not be too hard to find something to do.

Still, Lucas was somewhat disappointed that he was unable to find Barry or Dawn. He would have loved for either one of them to join them in his travels but they were both away. Still, that would not stop the trainer from traveling alone and having fun. Maybe he would make a few new friends while he was on vacation. The possibilities were endless.

Wolf silently closed his small book as the announcement concluded. After getting settled in Sinnoh, the teacher never bothered to take a big vacation. At most, he spent a few days in Eterna City and returned back home. As far as he was concerned, his traveling days were over. It was his job to teach the new generation as they prepared to see the new world.

However, Wolf decided to make an exception to that rule when Alola started its own league. Despite being a popular tourist destination, he did not have a desire to travel to the region before. It was only because of the league that just started that the veteran trainer decided to make a visit there. The veteran trainer was not interested in challenging it himself. Simply observing it and seeing what made it unique would be enough for him.

Verdant Gaze, Wandering Mind

As was usual for Green, he stayed awake whenever other people were involved. Not that this bothered him in the slightest... the unease of being surrounded by unknown factors was second nature and prevented total comfort. The same could not be said for his traveling companion, apparently. Yellow's training had been brief, especially in regards to his original training under Chuck all those years ago, and she was not taught much - her body was not developed enough and had not enough time to learn much more than he'd already taught her - but if nothing else he was proud of her determination, something he had to remind himself now and again the younger girl had in spades.

They sat in a two-seat aisle, the undeniably famous appearance muffled under a hat and behind tropical-wear sunglasses. He took the aisle seat, her small frame and his lean frame giving her plenty of room and the view out the window, and also let him guard her while she slept. Second nature by now, he'd been playing the somewhat-protective big brother role now for years.

The call came that they were about to arrive, and Green quickly retrieved their carry-ons just as Yellow stirred. They really could have flown first-class, he certainly had more than enough money for it, but he suspected Yellow, the erstwhile little extrovert, would enjoy the gentle rustle of people packed like sardines in coach. Also, first-class boarded and exited first and he didn't want to stand out. But definitely that first thing.

Exiting the plane, making sure Yellow was right with him, the stoic and the energetic, juxtaposed, collected their baggage - Yellow dragging along her briefcase. Green retrieved his own luggage and stepped out away from Hau'oli City International with a brief nod to the natives paid to welcome people to their home with cries of "Alola! That's how you say hello!" Fascinating.

It came as no surprise that Green knew where they were headed first without pulling out the complimentary map. "PokeCenter first. I need to pick up a few things. Then we can find something to do before I need to make my way to Ula'ula Island." What that was seemed obvious to Yellow by now, but to anyone who didn't know Green, having a luggage and carry-on it seemed like he had everything he needed. Comfortable purple shirt, heavy-duty brown cargo pants with lots of pockets, a belt that no doubt contained pokeballs. Yet more he required.

The large man was trying his best not to squash the pleasant elderly woman next to him, doing everything he could to lean the other way. While she didn't seem to mind in the slightest as she chatted him up almost the entirety of the flight, he was taught to try and not make trouble for his elders, and so he remained crumpled to one side as she jabbered on about her grandchildren and how she wished they'd be as big and tall as he was one day. Then the pictures came out. He was respectful the whole way though, at least, Mac enjoyed a certain amount of enthusiasm regarding his own family, as well. Which made it all the more odd that the muscular rancher and brewer was flying across the ocean alone. He wasn't the sort who took vacations to tropical islands - despite the current altitude he was a very down-to-earth workaholic who spent all his time either helping out at the ranch and orchard to support his family, or otherwise at his job as a bouncer/substitute bartender in town, or even at the gym where he boxed for a hobby.

Indeed, as Macintosh Carver exited the plane, all he had with him was a backpack and a single Poké Ball. At the sound of a soft call behind him, Mac turned, smiled at the wizened grandmother, and at her behest knelt down as far as he could to the terminal's floor and hugged her gently, thanking her for the stories shared. And like that, he was off, walking past a guy with sunglasses accompanying what appeared to be his blonde little sister. Mac, unbidden, thought back wistfully to when AJ was that small compared to him. She was still a good head shorter than himself, and he was a damn sight proud of how strong she'd grown up, but there was something magical about knowing he had to protect someone so small. For someone who bailed on his Pokémon Journey, he might not have developed into the humble, strapping man he was today without that experience. At least there was AB, and he could see the same magic in AJ's eyes when she looked at AB as he did when she was that age, that bond of the protective older sibling, ready to face down the world if they had to.

He glanced at the regional map, squinting. "Shoot, where did Ah need t'go then... Akala Island?" He was surprised for a moment when a native in a grass skirt came up to him and tried to reach up to his head. After a second he realized what she was trying to do and tilted himself forward so she could reach up and place a lei around his neck. With a slow, calm smile in her direction he responded with an "Alola!" of his own as she explained the rote meaning, and a tip of his exceedingly Western hat. It was very clear he was from out of town.

Out of the airport, Noah was prepared to get a little exploring done when he stopped in his tracks at the sound of a familiar voice. He turned around, trying to find the source of it. While he remembered the voice, he was not sure who it belonged to. His eyes were drawn to a man wearing a pair of sunglasses and hats. The young trainer swore he saw this man before but could not make out any details on who he was. Without hesitation, he made his way over to him and the young girl accompanying him.

"Hey there!" Noah greeted with a smile as he neared the two, pointing a thumb towards the man. "Haven't we met before? I swear you look so familiar, dude."

Squirtle and Pikachu followed Noah, offering different reactions to his actions. Squirtle looked surprised at his actions. Usually, he was the one walking up to random strangers and not his trainer. It was different seeing how that worked from the outside. Meanwhile, Pikachu did not care for her trainer's actions but looked curiously at the two trainers in awe.

Wolf made his way out of the airport, carrying a duffel bag with him. Alola was a bit hot for his liking but it would not bother him that much. He greeted a native with the traditional greeting of the region before looking around his surroundings. The city was not as bustling as the others he had traveled too. In fact, there was a certain level of peace and calm to it. Perhaps if it was not so hot, he might consider retiring here one day.

Looking at the crowd that surrounded him, Wolf noticed a man with light blue hair looking at his PokéNav. He paused, taking a moment to stroke his beard as he eyed the man. The veteran trainer had a hard time believing that a former champion would fly commercial but he was certain on the man's identity. The teacher started to walk forward towards him, thinking to himself that this encounter would make for a good story to tell his students when he returned to Sinnoh.

"Alola," Wolf greeted as he stopped in front of the man. "Do you have directions to the PokéCenter by chance?"

Yellow looked at the person who had approached them, briefly wondering for a second how might he know Green, before she felt dumb and realized Green was world famous. Quietly she looked over at Green, wondering how he'd deal with the supposed fan. She certainly didn't know who the person was... she could also be wrong, maybe they knew each other personally.

Either way, seeing his pikachu reminded Yellow of her own Pokémon. While she left most of her Pokémon in storage, planning to train herself as a trainer from scratch and officially undergo an island challenge. Chu was the only Pokémon she kept with her currently.

Yellow had fished the Poké Ball from her bag, and promptly released Chu, still trying not to disturb the other two. Chu, who was happy to be out of the Poké Ball quickly ran up to Yellow's shoulder, allowing Yellow to pet her, before Chu noticed the other two Pokémon, specifically the other pikachu. Chu simply stared, with a curious face, and Yellow gave the two little Pokémon a smile. This person had two nice little Pokémon.

Yellow then returned her view to Green and the other trainer, tempted to ask if she could pet his Pokémon.

By the time the man addressed Steven, he'd already had time to transfer his pokeballs to his belt. He was holding two additional pokeballs in his free hand. Inside were two of his Beldum outfitted with cameras that he was preparing to send off to do reconnaissance of the island. However, as he took note of the man, he promptly pocketed the pokeballs.

At first, he was a little confused, he used the Alola greeting, but he seemed to be a traveler too. He then considered his own appearance, and quickly reach the conclusion that he probably looked even more like a tourist. Perhaps the man was simply trying to adopt the culture as quickly as he could. Not wishing to be rude, Steven quickly turned to the man with an "Alola." in response.

Then the man asked about the PokeCenter. "I don't know, but it won't take but a moment for me to check for you." Steven quickly held up his PokéNav and thumbed over the holographic display to the area map. The PokeCenter stood out amongst the blue holographic buildings by being displayed in red. Steven then thumbed over a sensor at the bottom of the PokéNav causing the map to nearly triple in size. He then motioned with his free hand as he began to explain where the building was located. "Now, considering we're here, the Pokémon center is a short walk that way. A couple turns, but not all to hard to find."

"Truth be told, I was meaning to head to the PokeCenter myself. If you wouldn't mind, we could head there together Mr..?"
Steven's question trailed off as he waited for the man to pick it up with his answer. He had no qualms about heading to the PokeCenter on his own, but this man had made the effort to interact with him. It would mean he'd potentially have to wait to deploy his Beldum, but there wasn't any particular harm in that.

Where had the arrogant youth gone? The playboy who, for a time, drove about illegally with beauties hanging off of his prepubescent body and a smirk of confidence on his face? Thank goodness he was past THAT phase, but at least that Green might have dealt with fame better. He was sorely distrustful of how easy it was to recognize him, and the moment he was addressed as he'd turned to walk away with Yellow, he flinched. Dear whatever above, don't let it be a fangirl. It'll attract the others...

He missed his Sokagan, and that was part of why he needed to head to the PMC - how useful a thing it was. With a glance over to Yellow who seemed particularly enthused about whatever was behind him, he cautiously turned around, ready to sigh and vanish at a moment's notice. However, the moment his relatively all-seeing eyes rested on that face, he frowned just slightly. Memory working... yes. Yes, the surprising event at the mansion, wasn't it?

"... We seem to have crossed paths before, yes. Alola and such." He didn't bother removing his hat or shades, if only one person recognized him, that was fine. For the time being, he had a date with that PMC, and he'd promised to spend some time with Yellow as they got acquainted with the tropical region. He turned back to Yellow, who seemed even more happy about the younger trainer's Pokémon. That sigh finally let itself out.

"We are heading to the Pokémon Center. If you intend on speaking with us, walk with us. No need to stand out here all day in the sun." The things he did for his bubbly student. He began walking again, just far enough ahead that he wouldn't be between their Pokémon getting to meet each other, which seemed to be what Yellow was angling for. He was still on the lookout for potential threats and such, but honestly this place seemed to rely on tourism heavily, which meant that criminal activity would likely not be high at a main hub like this, or risk scaring off necessary tourism revenue.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Mac looked over his map, his heavy stride walking him forwards and stopping every so often to reorient himself and make sure he was heading in the right direction. He reached down to his belt and patted his one Poké Ball with a fond smile. It'd been a long time since he and Doran had been out on their own in unfamiliar territory like this. Those were hectic days, flying by the seat of his pants with all the headstrong passion of the hotheaded youth he was, thinking grand things of his place in the world. How much wiser he was these days. Still, as he made his way towards the Pokecenter he was reminded of the relief of coming up on one of these buildings from back then. ... They seemed much bigger back in his memories, too. He kept Doran in his ball, no need to have a large Nidoking stomping around out here in a busy area, not least because someone could bump into Doran's poisonous spines on accident.

For now he was feeling a bit peckish, and heard that PMCs on Alola also housed Pokemarts commonly, as well as a small cafe. What a great idea, and one he fully intended to take advantage of.

Believe in you, who believes in yourself.

"Bbbzzt! Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokémon. A Water-type. Popplio can control water balloons and works hard so it can make bigger balloons. Speaking of balloons, we should go find one. I'd like a good balloon."

Jakkaru smiled in response to the 'Dex and placed the Poké Ball containing the creature it was talking about onto the transfer module, watching the orb whisk away. Then, after a moment, another appeared and she collected it. She'd chanced upon one of the little seals when she'd been coming up the beach earlier, which meant she had a youngster to send back home and finally complete the family for her collection and her family's ranch. Sighing, the girl stretched an arm about her head and strained her muscles to their limit, letting out a breath of relief when her shoulder rolled and popped. It had been weeks since she'd last been back to town. It was definitely time to get a meal she didn't have to cook and restock on supplies.

At her feet was a small black and red cat. It was a Litten and was the first Pokémon she'd captured when she came to the region. Jiji looked back up at her, blinking his yellow eyes, before he bounded up and landed on her shoulder. The soft sound of a second Pokémon shifting in her backpack told her that Jiji's action hadn't woken Shiloh. Stepping away with the two creatures in tow and a full belt of six, she turned towards the café area of the Center, mentally tallying the Poké Ball stock she needed to resupply after she ate.

Dexy, as she affectionately called the Rotom-inhabited device, zipped ahead of her and floated off through the arc that separated the café from the main floor of the center to go look at the sweets display

"Bbbzttttttttttt...."

Scanning the array of food, Jakkaru grabbed a tray and... uh... well... Look. Live in the wilderness for some weeks and you'll want to stack your tray nearly as high as the girl in question did. Granted, she'd chosen mostly wholesome options, but it hadn't stopped her from picking up a six pack of assorted fruit-flavored malasada. The apple aroma from one of them was particularly intoxicating.

Paying up (and also buying food for her companions) she deposited her ill gotten gains unceremoniously on a round table. Jiji jumped to the table and began to munch happily, while Jakkaru simply enjoyed food she hadn't had to cook herself and watch the comings and goings of the people in the main section of the Center. Her backpack shifted slightly after a minute, and Shiloh, a Scraggy that was small even for its species, shuffled out and into Jakkaru's lap.

"Hey there, little guy. Have a good nap?"

"Scrag..." It nodded sleepily and reached out to the food. Jiji's back arched and he gave a growl.

"Jiji..." Jakkaru gave it a look, and the Litten huffed, grabbed some food in its mouth and bounded out of the café to sulk.

(\o/ I desperately need to update her profile with her Alolan stuff, so ignore her current team listed there, she only has Ember and Shiloh from her Pokémon on her profile presently. x_x I will get the rest of her mons up now that I finally have thread she can be in.)

Yellow took notice to Green's dismissive behavior, though she wasn't exactly surprised. He seldom talked much to people at all, let alone stopped and chit-chatted. She was however suprised he welcomed the stranger to walk with them, though it did sound like he had met him previously after all.

She walked beside Green, but happily tried to keep the conversation flowing with the fellow newcomer, though for all she knew he could've been a native, he definitely seemed like a beach goer.

"So are you also a trainer? It looks like you take good care of your Pokémon here." Yellow questioned.

Chu went ahead and dropped from Yellow's shoulder, walking beside the two Pokémon, happily greeting them, with a "Chu!" and leading into what conversation starters Pokémon might use. Yellow simply gave the Pokémon a smile, returning her focus ahead.

The sun in the sky marked a little past mid-day, but still plenty of the after-noon left. The hustle and bustle of lunch-hour having come to a rest, there was only a small crowed of newcomers and locals about, quite a few heading over the the pokecenter that wasn't very far away, after all they knew very well they'd get a lot of business if they were closer to the airport and marina. In fact, they were already nearing the center already.

"It's starting to come back to me now," Noah announced, taking another moment to think. "That's right. We met at that one mansion in Sinnoh. That battle you were in was so amazing!"

Noah and his Pokémon followed after the duo with the former thinking about how small the world is. Truth be told, he never thought he would meet anyone from the mansion after returning to Unova. Sure enough, it was possible. Still, he wondered why his new friend was trying to hide himself but the trainer decided on that being a question for another day. He took a brief glance at the girl traveling with them, answering her question.

"Yeah, I'm a trainer," Noah told her, smiling. "And I do take care of my team. Squirtle and Pikachu are great and I'm hoping to send the rest of the team out soon. Oh, the name's Noah, by the way. Nice to meet you."

Pikachu turned her head as Chu joined them, greeting the Pokémon before joining in on the conversation. Squirtle was looking at the sky when the Mouse Pokémon joined them and was shocked to see two Pikachus walking next to each other. He stood still for a few seconds, falling behind the group, before rushing back to the group as fast as his small legs could take him.

Lucas looked up from the map, taking a look at the street signs just to check if he was going in the right direction. According to the directions his map offer, the Pokémon Center was not too far away, just another block or two away. Folding the map and pocketing it, he continued down his path, ready to arrive at his destination.

From what he was able to find out through research, the PokéCenters in Alola were much different than they were back in Sinnoh. His stomach growled as Lucas thought briefly on the food that was commonly offered there. The trainer chuckled, realizing that he had yet to eat during that long plane ride. He settled on grabbing a quick bite before seeing what else the region had to offer.

As he waited for the directions, Wolf confirmed his earlier suspicions. The man before him was indeed Steven Stone, former champion of Hoenn. Although it was such a honor to meet him, the teacher questioned his presence in Alola. It could vary from needing time to unwind with a vacation or greater reasons that he did not know of. Regardless, it would be nice to have a normal conversation with him. It would make for an excellent story for his students when he returned to Sinnoh.

"Ledger, Wolf Ledger." Wolf introduced himself. "We could travel there together, yes. It would leave less room to get lost. And correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you Steven Stone?"

As Wolf made his introduction Steven took one last look at the map before sliding the PokéNav into his pocket. He wasn't overly surprised to find out that this man knew him, he'd become a fairly public figure. He calmly ran his hand through his hair before he responded to Wolf. "No sense in trying to hide it I suppose. I am Steven Stone, a pleasure to make you acquaintance." Steven then extended his right hand for a cordial shake, a friendly smile on his face.

He then grabbed his bag, choosing to hold it loosely at his side. He was noticeably careful when he moved it, at least more careful than most people are with luggage. "Now, I suggest we make our way to the Center." His suggestion was more or less a polite way of saying that he was going to start on his way. "We can talk on the way." He suggested before he turned and began to walk. Wheather Mr. Ledger joined him was completely up to him. Steven didn't mind, either way, he had some matters he wanted to attend to as soon as he could. Plus his sister was expecting an update from him.

(Just assume Soa had arrived before the plane itself did xD)

Soa hovered carefully near the airport, letting the people in the tower guide him down on where to land. He was glad to have gotten his own pilot license years ago, it made trips like this one much more convenient, and he seemed to always work out a deal with airports to land and store his helicopter when he wasn't using it.

Of course he hadn't flown the thing across the ocean from Japan, there's no way a helicopter would have the fuel for that trip. No, he had come most of the way by ship, and had simply taken leave to bring the helicopter to the airport. He'd be using it later.

Having left the airport a while ago, he promptly headed straight for the Pokémon center.

There were amazing Pokémon here, but particularly the Pokémon that had adapted to the island and took on different traits from the ones he was familiar with in japan seemed to stand out to him. He wanted to catch a few of his own, and thought that he could study their behaviors compared to the Johto region variants to see just how much is different between these two Pokémon, and of course breeding them was always a plan.

Having walked for a good while, he came across the pokecenter, and headed inside. After having a quick check-up on his Pokémon with the nurse, confirming they were all just fine (he always had a second person's opinion when it came to something's well-being, though he's completely capable himself), Dopple instead of returning to his ball like the rest immediately slide off the counter, and caught up to a Litten who had just jumped off a table in the cafe area.

Dopple had formed into a Litten, quickly running a circle around the other Litten only to just confirm it's own appearance. Soa was quick to scoop Dopple up, taking note that the Pokémon had seemed maybe just a bit agitated. "Sorry about that." Soa appologized to the small Pokémon, and he turned his attention to where he guessed the Litten had came from.

Being sure to carry Dopple in both arms should he turn back into it's regular forn, Soa approched the girl sitting at the table. "I'm sorry, I'd rather not be so rude, but perhaps that Litten there is yours? You see I'm here to collect a few Pokémon of my own, and I do know Litten are meant to be a rare species...". He knew it was rude to attempt to start a conversation while someone was eating, but any opportunity to catch the starter Pokémon of a region was also always a welcomed idea.

Dopple in his arms simply curled up, taking advantage of the extra arm-room. Playing up his little acting game.

Lucas looked up at the PokéCenter, smiling lightly to himself. Finally, it was time to grab something to eat. He pushed the doors open and made his way inside, looking around. He spotted a small cafe towards the corner of the room and made his way over there. Taking a look, he was amazed by the different foods and drinks it had to offer and took a moment to think about what to get. Afterwards, he made his over to the barista, thinking he had to make an order like back in Sinnoh.

"Hello. I would like some malasadas, please," Lucas ordered politely.

"Uh, sir?" The barista hesitated.

"Thank you."

"A pleasure to meet you, Steven," Wolf gave a firm handshake to the former champion. "Yes. Heading there would be a good idea. Let us be off then."

Wolf walked alongside Steven to the Pokémon Center. It would not be too long of a walk to reach it, likely only a few minutes based on the directions. Still, he suppose it would be nice to try to strike up conversation instead of walking awkwardly side by side until they reached their destination.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, but what brings you out to Alola?" Wolf asked, turning his head slightly. "Might you be on vacation, perhaps?"

It was a rather sensible question, after all, he was a rather busy man so he had to have a reason for being out here. Steven gave his answer a bit of thought, he wasn't about to say his full reasoning to a stranger, but he also didn't want to be rude. "I wouldn't really all it a vacation, more like, a business trip I suppose. Considering you know me, you're likely aware that I step down as Hoenn Champion. I had quite a few reasons as to why, but it was primarily in the interest of the betterment of the Devon Corporation by becoming more aware of the needs of the various people of the world. In fact, I've spent a great deal of time traveling from region to region as of recent years."

"I don't wish to drone on though, what about yourself. You're knowledgeable about my identity, but I'm not familiar with you. What brings you to Alola."
He felt his answer was sufficient, it withheld a great deal of detail but should be elaborate enough to quell any suspicion on the matter. He wasn't all that untrusting, but given his title and role, he couldn't afford to be careless with information.

In addition, he was genuinely curious about this man. He knew their walk was going to be rather short, and he had matters to attend to, so he wished to use this time to the best of his ability.
